Alpe Adria 2026 - Poreč

Today is the final day of a great philatelic exhibition in Poreč, Croatia. It was a true pleasure to see some remarkable exhibits and, of course, to catch up and talk philately with friends and colleagues. It was especially great to see those whom I do not have the chance to meet often, such as Mr. Maraković from Vienna and Mr. Novaković from London, who are among the greatest Croatian philatelists of all time.

Bled Collectors' Days

I spent a very nice time at the Bled Collectors' Days yesterday. Plenty of material to sift through, but the highlight was catching up with fellow philatelists.

I just returned from the London 2022 International Stamp Exhibition. Very glad as this was my first philatelic gathering after the pandemic, and another Large Vermeil medal for my 1941 Međimurje exhibit.

PhilAdria's 26th auction

PhilAdria 23rd Stamp Auction

We finally got to the PhilAdria spring auction, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the same reason, the auction did not take place at the standard location but on the terrace of the restaurant.

It was a lovely day, especially since I saw my philatelic colleagues after a long time. Also, some collecting areas show great interest. For example, a set of Senta provisional issue was sold for 2.500,00 EUR hammer price.

Barac&Pervan 54th auction

Today in Zagreb... Another quality auction with good results shows a positive trend in philately on the territory of ex Yugoslavia. 

The auction hall was too small for everyone.

NDH-Philately Group

Update: It is been two weeks since we are hosting at https://groups.io/g/NDH-Philately. In the meantime, we have gained six new members, bringing the total number of members to over 100. Increasing member activity is also a positive sign for the future of this group...

Alps Adriatic Philately, Slovenia 2019

Today have spent a nice morning at the Alps Adriatic Philately exhibit in the monastery Mekinje near Kamnik. The exhibition was dedicated to:

• the centenary of the foundation of the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs,
• the centenary of the first Slovenian postage stamps / The chainbreakers,
• the centenary of the establishment of the Ljubljana Post Office,
• the centenary of the end of the First World War and
• the seventies of the Philatelic Association of Slovenia.
